Installing DoW Platinum Ed. &where are saved games?

Hello--
I have DoW already installed and, having liked it so much, bought a copy of the Platinum Editon thinking that it did not matter if I got a another copy of DoW as long as I got Winter Assault and DarkCrusade. When I tried to install, using the DVD, it will not install Winter Assault, saying that DoW is already installed, which it is.
I looked for my saved games, thinking that I could copy them to the new installation if I uninstalled , then reinstalled from the Platinum ed. DVD, but I cannot find my saved game sub-folder in the DoW folder.
So--where is the saved game folder and what is it called?
Or-is there a way to install the Platinum ED. DVD with the old Dow game on my computer already?

You want to backup your Profiles directory to save your save games.

Hmmm,
My profiles directory has nothing in it. Where do the saved games hide? Thanks, for the help.

In my profiles directory I have a folder called "Profile1" and in there are folders for DoW and WA and any mods you have installed. The saved games live in those folders along with colour schemes and key layouts.
