I'm having trouble with this patch. It keeps saying that I don't have a complete, valid Dawn of War installation, even when I have the whole line of games installed, and patched, and fully functioning. This game is a hassle to reinstall and then repatch. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this yet?

I also have this problem on XP SP3. Can't find a solution, or any more information on the problem :(

I'm bumping this since I have the same problem as stated in reply #2. Instant crash upon running the install file for the patches. I have tried reinstalling the game. I opened a support ticket with THQ, but so far I have not gotten any suggestion other than "uninstall, reinstall, boot as clean as possible, etc," which I have already done.

I have no problem with any other program, game, or file. It's simply these Soulstorm patches which refuse to run. DoW and Dark Crusade patches run fine.

So the question is, what did they do to create the patch program, and what's different about what it does upon execution vs. the other DoW patches?

Thanks,

-HM

Solved. Noticed that the problem was also happening with my CoH patches (the later ones). Found this thread:

http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=206916

After reading that, I noticed that even though my personal account had a Desktop folder, the Desktop folder was missing for the "All Users" user. I created it, and bam, the patches now work.

This is/was a WEIRD problem.
