soulstorm patch problem

everytime i try to play soulstorm online it tells me there is a new patch out so i press ok. when the progress box comes up it starts off at 100% and does not end or go away unless i hit cancel. i also cannot find a manual version of the patch. i have had the same problem with dawn of war original and i was never able to fix it. does this mean i can never play soulstorm online again? i have vista could that be the problem? please post if u have a similar problem or have a slight idea about a solution.

Try starting the game as administrator(right click on the Soulstorm.exe, then 'Run as administrator').
