 Hello everyone, after waiting nearly 10 months the patch got realased and when I try to patch my game it says the following thingy:

"This patch updates DoW version 1.00, but you appear to have an unrecognized version installed, please reinstall Dawn of War - Error code 10267"

I tried reinstalling twice, but it didn't work. Also I checked the registry values and they are OK but still the patch won't work.

Any suggestions ? :(

AT YOUR OWN RISK ...

... uninstall the game. make a back up of your registry. manually delete the registry entries. reinstall. patch.

I've had an eariler patch fail for a simialr reason. Removing the registry entries cured the problem. Good luck.

If your using a no-cd crack you will need to get an original exe file to install the patch

Moving to tech assistance.

yzi2: he means JUST the Soulstorm entries (if theyre there, uninstalling should remove them). Also delete any files left in the Soulstorm install directory before reinstalling.

Reinstalling Windows will fix the majority of software problems you are likely to encounter...but its not something I like to recommend since there are normally less drastic solutions available.

I get an error that says the patch cannot find my Dawn of War directory. Stupid patch, there is no Dawn of War directory... it is just C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Soulstorm

Of course, if Ironlore had put an option in the installer so that I could install SS where I wanted it, then it would be in the same directory as all my other DoW games. I guess I'll have to go back and install the other DoW games in the default places?

(Maybe that will kill 2 birds and fix the missing decals for the maps made for DC which were left out of SS?)

Wearbe: the registry value containing the install directory may be missing or incorrect - check.

I'm having the same problem. In my registry I have the following keys:

(Default)
CDKEY
DOWSkirmishAILocation
DXP2CDKEY
InstallLocation

I also have a sub-key name 1.00.0000.

All of the values look correct.

Does the key list look correct?

Would the patch balk at the presence of DOWSkirmishAILocation or DXP2CDKEY?

DXP2KEY will be your DC CD key, the patch shouldn'y balk at that...DOWSkirmishAILocation isn't there "normally", but it shouldnt be a problem...and as so many people use that mod I can't imagine that it is.

On Dark Crusade, at the Main Menu Screen, in the upper left hand corner, it says:

DOW Engine 1.2 Dawn of War: Dark Crusade 1.0 Build 96815

So, which version of Dark Crusade am I running? 1.2 or 1.0?

Edit: Figured it out...the first number (1.2) is the version of the game you are running. Still don't know what the other number (1.0) represents.
