Hi,
As discussed in this thread (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=206415), several people appear to be having problems with patch installation. It has been suggested that this may be due to having Bit Torrent clients or disk emulation software installed.
Can anyone confirm that installed Torrent clients and/or disk emuation software will prevent a legitimate, store bought copy of SoulStorm from running after the patch is installed? I would really like to know the answer to this before I install the patch because I don't want to waste hours having to uninstall/re-install DoW and the many mods that I use if I can avoid it.
For the record, I own DoW, WA and SS (actually 2 copies of DoW because I lost my original CD key). I bought each game brand new, from a large game retailing chain. I use Torrents for legitimate purposes. I use disk emulation software (Alochol) to allow me to run game that I own without having to continually change discs. I'll be extremely dissapointed if legitimate computer use prevents me from using my legally acquired software!
