Patch problem

Hey all, ive done a search and I couldnt find anything like this soo:

Been trying to install the match through online and it says CD authentication failed, then i tried to patch it from a link provided in another thread. It worked fine until it suddenly just stopped and said that there is no valid game installed on the computer and i may have to reinstall soulstorm.

So im guessing all this means that for some reason my game isnt valid/real? If i cant find my CD Key, does this mean i will have to buy a new game? Any help is appreciated.

you need to reinstall the game sadly.

this is a common problem that there is no solution to other then reinstalling the game.

if i were in your shoes would i buy another copy if i couldn't find my serial? no :lol:

There may be a way to find your CD Key if you haven't got your manual.
Click start and choose Run. Type regedit and go. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > THQ > DAWNOFWAR SOULSTORM and see if there is a file called CDKEY. If there is, keep a note of the code as this is your CD Key.

Unfortunately, the fact that the CD key is missing from your registry is the reason why you need to reinstall. The CD authentification cannot find the CD key in your registry so it is defaulting to invalid.
