Here was me thinking i've bought enough Orks now, still got to assemble some, and paint about 3000 points worth, not including finishing my scratch built bomma and stompa, and they go and release this lot!

These are up for preorder, with releases in January.

This box set contains one multi-part plastic Ork Battlewagon. This large 113-piece kit includes a kannon, a zzapp gun and a host of other weapon and outfitting options, allowing you to assemble a unique looking Ork vehicle.

This box set contains five multi-part plastic Ork Nobz. This 104-piece set includes: 10 head variations, five different torso-fronts and five body variations allowing you to assemble a unique looking squad. Also included are a range of weapon options including: big choppas, power klaws, shoota/rokkit kombi-weapons, a shoota/skorcha kombi-weapon, sluggas and choppas. Kaptin Badrukk (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1730001&utm_source=neorkswave2&utm_medium=email&utm_term=orks&utm_content=textlinkbody&utm_campaign=NE%2BOrks%2BSecond%2BWave%2BAdvance%2BOrder%2BNewsletter%2B1)
Boss Snikrot (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?prodId=prod1730000&utm_source=neorkswave2&utm_medium=email&utm_term=orks&utm_content=textlinkbody&utm_campaign=NE%2BOrks%2BSecond%2BWave%2BAdvance%2BOrder%2BNewsletter%2B1)
Stormboyz (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?categoryId=&pIndex=3&aId=10500001&start=4)
Grotz (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?categoryId=&pIndex=4&aId=10500001&start=5)

I'm releived that my own converted Badrukk still looks the part even against the new one, since i'm not so much a fan of the piraty look on Orks, but I do like the model.
Snikrot isn't at all how I imagined him, he's huge! Something freaky goig on with his eyes and ears, sort of got an Igor feel to him, albiet slightly more pointy and slashy.
The new plastics look excellent, I love new plastic stuff, especially with the orks where yet again we're getting a huge load of extra bitz and options. Fantastic!

Here's also a preview (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?aId=10500001&utm_source=neorkswave2&utm_medium=email&utm_term=orks&utm_content=textlinkbody&utm_campaign=NE%2BOrks%2BSecond%2BWave%2BAdvance%2BOrder%2BNewsletter%2B1) of the new plastics

After looking at the Storm Boys i kinda wanna take one without the backpack, and put on like an old WWI plane wings with two grots peddling to power a pair of props on the wings and call him 'Da Red Bar'on"

After these releases are they planning on an updated 5th edition ork codex anytime soon?

Those are all pretty cool. Interestingly though, no info on Zagstruk? As for a new Ork codex, I'd wager that won't be released for quite a while, there are still plenty of codexes that need updated before the Orks get another one.

The best part of it is the plastic Grots!
It can't find were it says how many there will be per pack, any help on that?

Probably as many as you see in the pic, mainly because you need 10+1 Runthred in order to have a mob, and for each 10 grots you need one runthred, so for a normal game that would be that would be 72 models just troops

There are some models that make me want to buy them even
if they would not fit in my SM army.
Examples include any baneblade or varient, the serngard vets
and now that ork battle wagon. So big, So killy. :muffy:

I've seen the new Orks in my local GW and they look awesome! The Stormboyz look great on their new style bases. They actually look as though they are just touching down! My favourite is the one with a stikkbomb in his teef.

Sod the credit crunch!! I've got to have some of these!

I saw the battlewagon.
It's really a nice kit. Looks liek there's a LOT of room to make an interior in it!

I hate to be a mood killer, but I was talking to a couple of GW guys the other day in Glen Burnie, Springfield and Great Falls (All DC area stores) and they mentioned that while they have the molds for the stompa and all (as is obvious), they are having a hard time dropping the sprues down and they want to get to no more than 3-5... currently, it's 8 or so and there's a possibility that if they can't get the sprue count down, it won't "go gold" or whatever happens when they finally put something into production. Hopefully they are just talking out of there asses, but I guess we'll see.

I want that Stompa!!!!
If I tried making a scratch build one it'll be very crappy. Lets hope that GW do release it or if not, then have Forge world make one.

Oh and actually how big is a Gargant? In the Ork codex and even in the Apocalypse book there's a towering Ork mechanicle monster that dwarfs even the Warlord....... is this massive machine a Gargant?

Yeah, those behemoths are gargants. There's almost no limit to how large they can go. The stompa is a sort of mini-gargant. How big gargants would be in 40K is uncertain, but judging by FW's Reaver model a gargant would be at least 16"+, and far bulkier.

Apparently a Warlord would be around 25" tall on the W40K table (Its more than twise the size of a Warhound which can stand up to 12"), in those drawn pictures the Gargants look much bigger than a Warlord in all aspects :trix:

Gargant size chart @ The Waaagh (http://www.the-waaagh.com/forums/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=26309)

As far as I can tell its accurate, although the stompa / big mek stompa seen in apocalypse are a little bigger I feel.

Lol the new battlewagon would make a great pseudo-Gorgon for us Guard players.
