The time for me to buy a Baneblade has come, but I'm not sure whether I'll be getting the Forge World or Games Workshop one.

It's the small things that draw me to the FW one (Lucius Pattern specifically), despite being like, twice as much. The thicker barrels, larger fuel drums, small details like that.

I was wondering how they size up side by side. Are they the same, is one bigger then the other? The way I see it, the bigger the better, and if the FW one is significantly larger then the GW in dimensions then I'll probably have to buy it.

If anyone has pictures of the two side by side, that would be totally awesome. I tried to find some and had no luck, unfortunately.

I believe that the plastic baneblade is bigger than the Forgeworld one by a little bit. They really outdid their previous models with that kit, it is a beautiful kit that goes together very easily and looks very good when complete. With the alternate types of IG superheavies, Forgeworld has also started to go with a drop in conversion kit for the tank where you assemble the track and bottom, then you drop in the alternate upper tank body to make that different tank. There are also reports that they will be releasing the new Shadowsword kit very soon that will let you build 6 alternate tanks.

In march from what i understand, along with a gargant :)

A stompa actually (the gargant is too big to do in plastic) but yeah, the stompa will be £60 same as the Baneblade.

The BB variants I know are in the new kit are the shadowsword, stormsworsd, stormblade and the doom hammer

Doom Hammer? What's that? Any Sources?

Doomhammer seems to be a stormsword with the main turret on the front part. It is shown in the last WD, I think...
