Some Basic Questions I have had for awhile

I have been playing for awhile but as a father of twins, I dont have the time to look into alot of the mechanics so I am going to be lazy and just ask the questions here.

First when Brits are building an emplacement and it is destroyed by fire before it is completed are they still charged the resources that it cost to build or are they refunded the full amount or partial amount?

If a British Bren carrier is capping a point, and the point is boobytrapped does the carrier take damage?

What is the hotkey to take a screenshot?

I'm not sure about your first questions, but the hotkey for screenshots is the "print screen button", located to the right of the F12 button.

For the bren carrier to have the ability to cap a point, it requires a squad or lt garrisoned inside of it, and it caps at a slower rate of .75. So if it tries to cap a BT'ed point, the bren carrier itself will have negligible damage, but the squad or lt inside it will/can be damaged/killed.

All factions are refunded if a structure is destroyed mid construction. British emplacements or Flak cannons. so long as it is still under construction, the player is refunded the costs.

The booby trap is triggered by anything capturing it. be it infantry squad, Bren carrier vehical or light vehical under the US armor doctrine 'Raid' ability. However, booby trap doesn't instantly hit the intended squad. rather it simply triggers an attack where the unit was standing when it was triggered.

so a BGC with a squad in it will still trigger the booby trap, and will still take damage... if you leave it idle afer you hit it. however you could also trigger the trap and back the BGC away before the trap goes off and have no casualties what so ever.


Screen shots are taken by pressing the 'Print Screen' key, it is after your 12 function keys (f1-12). screen shots should be saved in the game folder which is usually automatically stored in 'my documents/my games/company of heroes'... it is hard to say exactly where it is because it saves it in diffrent places on diffrent computers depending on how your computer is set up.

Just in case PrtScn alone won't work for screenshots (which isn't unlikely to occur), try pressing Alt+PrtScn.
