...I just installed everything...why can't my game run? It says when I double click it under 'games'...
"This application has failed ot start because MathBox.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."
Note: MathBox is not found anywhere on my computer when a search is performed.
Sigh. Don't make me regret downloading it from best buy...
Anyone?

This dll was used in DoW as well, if it's missing now you indeed might need to reinstall. :-\

Mmm this seems to happen sometimes with games. Usually you gotta find the file on the internet to download then put it in the correct folder.

That DLL should have been installed when you installed it... MathBox.dll is included with CoH... I'll have to check my DoW2 install when I get home.
Try to re-install.

This might sound like a rude question but is it a legitimate copy of the game? I know sometimes "online" downloads can come with a few files missing.

Painful...I just scoured the internet and could not find a way to download mathbox.dll as NoneSuch said (though I found stuff ABOUT it...)...and I'm not willing to go to Limewire...sigh
Ok, here I go again :P *uninstalls/reinstalls as the great Uberjumper recommended...*

You can download it from Best Buy... their installer's probably screwed it up somehow.

I know but you know i've seen a good number of cases of people complaining about their pirated game not working properly. Always makes me sigh
I didn't mean to accuse or offend the OP.
edit - I had a look for mathbox thingy and I couldn't find any trustworthy sources. There's plenty of places hosting the file but I wouldn't download it from any of them.

@Nonesuch: There is not such a thing like software piracy. The world is a nice place where pink bunnies hopping on green fields with nice flowers and nobody does something wrong ever.
Serious, most of these people are so stupid to admit openly that they pirated the version. At least I´m thinking that when I cruising on Karos graveyard.
So you need to download the whole game again because 1 tiny file is missing? Maybe ask a friend who has the game to to send it to you?

It's a really really bad Idea to just drop a file in from another installation. If one file is missing, what are the chances that other files are missing? The game should be installed properly, and if it's not, then the cause of the failed installation should be corrected, not the missing files.

At least it´s worth a try. If more files are missing, im sure the game will tell him. But could be a quick solution instead of downloading the game again for several hours.

@Noble...I seriously didn't see that section! I looked for it but...gyar. Ty.
I am halfway done with the second install now...but I did not re-download it >.> I actually uninstalled SoulStorm and Dark Crusade as I realized I only had 1 gb of space left once I reached the install screen. I hope I didn't somehow lose the MathBox.dll then...so yea @ Uber and Wicked, I don't even have a file to put in FROM another install > : ( Maybe if this doesn't work, and a full re-download doesn't work, I'll try reinstalling Soulstorm....?
EDIT: Well, slap my knee and call me a southerner...all I needed to do was re-install the previous download. How that works, I have little idea....
Anyway, thanks guys--case closed!!! XD I'll pwn...I mean, c ya online ;)
EDIT 2: Oh um one quick thing guys...how am I to know if I got my bonus download pack from Best Buy...? The colors, etc...? Should I just keep an eye out in game for when they miraculously pop up? :P

Its alright, Net the Tecnichal Assistance section has only been up for a short period of time. More than likely before you created this thread.

You will either have a piece of paper with a code on it inside your box or you will receive an email from Best Buy with the code inside.
This code is then entered into the LIVE marketplace (I believe) and your extra content will be ready for download.

Hey appreciated for the info Kapp'n :)
As for the activation though....yea I can't find any possible way with Live...even tried to redeem the code as you said in Marketplace.
Will I need to call someone or make another thread about this...? :(

Have you downloaded the Marketplace Client from here? (http://www.gamesforwindows.com/en-US/Live/Pages/livemarketplace.aspx)
Once you do and have it installed, it will add an entry in your windows programs bar. Navigate
Start>programs> Microsoft Games for windows - LIVE to start it up.
Once your signed in click the Marketplace tab at top, and then redeem code on the left hand side. Enter your code and your item should be ready for download.
EDIT: Oh sorry have you already tried this? Did you get any error messages?

Dude....nope, I didn't lol. But thanks to you, I got it!!! I had just tried to redeem code on the website marketplace, not the download able Games for Windows Live marketplace. That seemed to work! Shame they can't be more unified...
Anyway, thank you sir :) Too bad I will never be able to tell just from looking at them which custom colors were mine...
