I recently bough the Dawn of War collection and now I'm having problems installing the game. When the autostart window pops up, install game is not an option. Instead it offers me the option to play the game. Dawn of war is not installed on my pc anymore. It still shows up in the programs and features window where you would usually deinstall programs but when I select uninstall I'm informed "Error 1324. The path Dawn of War contains an invalid character.

I performed a search for any Dawn of War files and found a few at a path that does not exist. (E:\Dawn of War). There is no drive named E: on my pc. I'm afraid I had it installed on a hard drive that i then replaced and now this old installation is causing trouble. I know this is probably not a DoW specific problem but I would really appreciate any advice.

You will need to delete the DoW registry entries:

Start > run > type "regedit"

do a search for "THQ" - you should quickly find the DoW registry folder. Delete it and you're good to go.
