Please insert the original disc instead of a backup

So basicly Dawn of War installed fine but when I try to boot the game it says "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup". Is there any way around this? Any help is much appreciated.

If you are talking about the original DoW then you can install the patches which remove the game's copy protection, so you won't need the disk in the drive at all.

There are various things which could be causing the game to think you are using a copied disk - having disk emulation software running on your PC is a common one.

Via google, if you have the vanilla version of DoW then you need (in order) the full 1.41 patch, 1.50 and 1.51.

If you have the Game of the Year edition then you should already be at 1.40 so can start with the smaller 1.41 patch.
