Ok, I've Read through the Master Troubleshooting Random Crashing Post. The problem Im having sounds exactly like the one I read in the post except I already Checked over and tried everything the post said to do.

This is whats happening, I can play for hours no problems, Then Either Green or Red Dots Artifact All over the screen and the Game Crashes (this happens every time regardless of what happens afterwords). 1. Black screen with cursor then It Reboots the PC. 2. The dots stay on the screen and I have to Reset the PC manually. 3. It BSOD's and tells me Nv4.DLL caused the problem. So far this is what I have done to try and fix this.

1. Update video card drivers/ use Older drivers (same outcome)
2. Take video Card out and Clean connections.
3. Ran Memtest several times because of the BSOD, Passes all tests.
4. Put CPU overclock back to Stock settings (video card is never overclocked but I have an After market Heatsink on it anyway, accelero S1 and a 120mm fan which lowered stock temps at least 10-20c, Idle temp is 27c right now)
5. Checked to see if anything was overheating. Used everest and everything is running Nice and cool as always.
6. Tried Closing AVG free edition before running the game to make sure anti virus wasn't conflicting.
7. Reinstalled Creative Sound Drivers to see if that would do something.

Ok so after all that, It still crashes randomly. I was starting to think that maybe it is a faulty Video Card or power supply, But all the other games I play eg. Crysis wars, Fallout 3, Counter strike source, Left 4 Dead, run 100% stable and they have never crashed. hopefully someone has had a similar problem to this and can help me out my system specs are this.

Asus P5k-e
Core 2 Duo E-6750
2gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer Ram
Nvidia XFX 8800gt alpha dog
Creative X-fi Xtreme gamer sound card
150gb Raptor, 320gb Seagate barracudda hd
MX-550w Corsair Power supply.

I also want to note that I bought this game through Steam if that is helpful.

The problem is there is a memory leak in the Creative labs drivers. Assuming you give it enough time, the game can crash from the main menu, while you don't even play or touch the mouse. The solution for me was to disable X-fi driver, after that the game never crashed again (but playing without sound sucks). And it won't crash just Soulstorm, it will bring down any game, assuming you give it enough time. A solution might be in Daniel K's modified drivers but I didn't test them on X-fi yet as they don't come with an uninstaller.
