Okay, happened for the first time to me after I reinstalled Dawn of War Dark Crusade. I click on Direct Host and choose my map and click accept, instantly it will pop up "Could not access the network. Connection Time Out." The same thing happens when i try to direct connect, host a lan game, join a lan game, connect online. Nothing has worked for me. I have the game patched to v1.2.0 btw. please help me :D :spin: :spin:

Try the Net Tester (http://66.134.89.225/~sic/nettest.html) and post your results please.

One of my friends is also having this issue. We worked on forwarding all of his ports, and they're all open. He can't play/host a game, and gets this error when he does.

He also can't run the network tester, due to getting the unexpected window's socket error: cannot bind error. We're totally at a loss of what to do now. Any advice would be great.

EDIT: Disabling/turning off the ports lets him back on, but we can't play together. He re-opens one of them, and he gets kicked again.

He's on a verizon MI424-WRv2. We've gone to many sites offering advice, but can't find anything.

I think you need turn of your Windows XP system firewall in Networks Settings. But if you are use router need configure your ports.

Turn off System Firewall. DL freeware firewall like SYGATE Personal Firewall or some what you think to be good for you from google.com

Erm, there's no need to switch off the Windows firewall only to replace it with another. That's not likely to help. x6M9x, please post a new thread, including the necessary files (http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=57900) from your friend's PC.
