Many Races

I've seen a few places in this forum where peope mentioned the fact that they were able to get 7+ races to work, but I never came across an explanation. How do you do it!? Anything over 6 either won't work or decides it's just another "Random", and it seems to take really tricky organization just to get all the way to six. Please help!
