This site explains how a cell phone can turn on your oven, and will stay on by it self.

After I read about it and watch the video in that site, I questioned how many appliance can be triggered by other random technology. It's bit creepy to know your oven can be turned on without you, but really my question is can anything else can be done this way?

Yeah like how?

Those ovens were just designed by someone who knows very little about electricity. And the fact that interference induced by high frequency radio signals can trigger the oven to turn on, speaks much about how crappy that company products are, and how little those products have been tested after designing.

That's mostly a problem outside the US where the signal power passed over cell antennae is much higher. You can pop popcorn by calling six Japanese cellphones simultaneously all surrounding the kernels.

Just wait til your microwave starts emitting EM radiation and messing up your TV or WiFi.

Honestly we are not having a thread about what a phone can do or turn on. Its nothing more then a glorified list thread. We might as well make a thread about what can be unlocked with a key... or what entres go well with rice.

Locked.

(heh i guess there is at least one thing a key cant open... this thread)
