Any information about him at all? The forums here are the first place where I heard about him and he seems to be a smart, Unorky git.

In a typical piece of Games Workshop tea-leavery, the name is lifted from the Greek mathematician and inventor Archimedes.

he was Ghazgul Thraka's chief mekboy during Armageddon 3. he ran out and stole a hulk right before the campaign ended, i think.

Orkimedes was first mentioned in the Armageddon Codex, if I remember right. But there was also just few information about him. More like rumours.

GW didn't publish anything official about him at all (besides the mentioned Codex), I think.

orks are not stupid, just very single minded and impulse-driven. even a space marine has a rough time beatin' an ork 1on1 in terms of combat skill(upclose, anyway), and if a marine were to go up against an ork who had fought a couple of fights and beefed up his muscles, the marine'd be squished. :D orks dont know jack about math or science, and the only reason they ever got anywhere is b/c they enslave any1 they come across and force those slaves to build weapons, homes, trucks, and everything else for them, but in terms of combat skill, only a harlequin could get an ez win...

correction... the mekboys build all their stuff. they do know about science, its imprinted in their genetic code (well mekboys anyway). they are born with the knoledge in their heads, they dont care how it got there they just use it.

The Orks were created by the Old Ones as a warrior race to fight the Necrons in the olden times (they were called the Krorks, I think), if I recall correctly. I imagine they were outfited with exactly the knowledge they needed to build and use weapons good enough to be effective. Past that, they can't really reason for themselves.

You could almost look at the entire Ork race as a loose cannon, a weapon gone rogue.
