The Angels of Twilight- a Dark Angels successor chapter.
Origins
The origins of the Angels of Twilight begin sometime during the late 41st millenium. It is not quite clear as to why the Dark Angels were to create a new chapter. Possibly as a means to have more eyes and ears to search for fallen, but the truth is still unknown. It is also not known as to whether or not the Lords of Terra approved the chapter’s creation, as they have been very reluctant to use Dark Angel’s gene seed to create new chapters. Whatever the case may be the creation of the chapter began roughly ten years before the outbreak of Abaddon’s 13th Black Crusade.
Homeworld And Early Chapter History
The Chapters homeworld of Fellenious is a heavily forested world located on the southern reaches of imperial space. It is the farthest planet from its system’s tiny sun. Because of this the planets daytime hours only reach a state of dusk for most of the year. The local people are a somewhat feudalistic society ruled by local lords. Although most technology was lost during the age of strife, the peoples of Fellenious have rediscovered the art of making some simple technologies, giving the people a somewhat mixed up array of machines. While they have learned to make crude steam generators to power certain workshops, they have been unable to fully harness electricity to create more advanced technologies. The many lords of the planet constantly fought one another, razing armies of knights and building formidable castles. Because of this the local population was filled with young hardened fighters, perfect for Space Marine recruits.
A patrolling Dark Angels strike cruiser who had miss jumped in the warp stumbled upon the world. After confirming their location, the Space Marines realized they discovered a previously uncharted system. After scanning each of the system’s five planets, they discovered that three contained human life, each civilization in a pre-technology state that was perfect for any recruitment needs. They named the system after the Dark Angels commander Fellenious, who was in charge of the company that made the discovery. They gave the system’s name to the fifth planet, which had the highest development in technology and population size.
After studying the people of Fellenious, the Dark Angels were ready to make contact. Three tactical squads along with Commander Fellenious landed near the castle of one of the local lords who appeared to be the most powerful. The people of the nearby town were alarmed by the new presence and sent troops to investigate. Upon seeing the space marines in their huge armor, the troops fell to their knees believing the space marines to be gods. Commander Fellenious asked the troops to take them to their lord, and the troops did so without question. They were taken straight to the throne room of the local lord, who also at the sight of the space marines began to sink into his throne in amazement and fear.
Fellenious explained to them that they were not gods, and how they were warriors of a distant and powerful Emperor. He also explained how he would want to return this world to is place of glory in the Imperium and how in doing so could bring great benefits to his people. The lord quickly agreed, and he announced the arrival of the Emperor’s warriors to his people. The local people praised the Dark Angels, and as other lords heard of the news they were quick to sign alliances. Soon the entire world had stopped the many wars that had divided them for so long and were united as one.
The Dark angels turned the lord’s castle into their base of operations and began preparing a system to recruit new marines from the local population. It was about this time that the Angels of Twilight began creation and the Grad Masters of the Dark Angels felt the planet Fellenious would make the perfect Homeworld for the new chapter. They were in fact named after the semi-darkness of their new world. Many youths were chosen from the peoples of Fellenious to be trained. They were sent to Dark Angels bases across the galaxy, some were even sent to The Rock itself for training. Meanwhile the castle of the local lord was expanded and rebuilt until soon it no longer resembled its former self. It was now the fortress monastery of the Angels of Twilight. The training of the future Angels of Twilight continued for many years. Soon the chapter was nearing completion and could be ready for combat when war broke out in the Imperium.
Abaddon, Warmaster of the forces of chaos, launched his 13th Black Crusade. A Chaos force of a size not seen sense the Horus Heresy poured from the Eye of Terror and into the surrounding systems. Although Cadia was Abaddon’s primary target, other systems also fell under attack form the chaos hoard. Among them was Caliban, former homeworld of the Dark Angels. Chaos forces attacked The Rock and eventually breached its walls. Nearly all Dark Angels who could came to The Rock to defend the sacred remains of their homeworld. At the time of the attack many recruits for the Angels of Twilight were training within The Rock. These future marines took up arms and fought side by side with their Dark Angels brethren. These were the first of the Angels of Twilight to fight in real combat, and they proved themselves gloriously. Eventually the Chaos forces were pushed out of the rock and all of the recruits who had fought were promoted to full battle brother and were given their black carapace. Most of them became the chapter’s veteran sergeants and leaders. Among them was the young recruit named Danarith. Danarith had shown great leadership potential during his training and when chaos attacked he rallied a group of his fellow recruits to repel the attack. Cut off from the rest of their brethren, Danarith and his men single-handedly secured an entire power complex from chaos forces. Using stealth, the crept through shadows and side tunnels, attacking the enemy in their midst. By the time the Rock was re-taken, Danarith and his men had single-handedly fought off chaos for nearly 2 months, suffering not a single casualty save a few minor wounds.
Because of Danarith’s outstanding skill and leadership he was promoted to supreme grand master of the Angels of Twilight and many of his men made company captains. By now most of the new recruits were ready to become full battle-brothers. Danarith and the rest of the chapter returned to Fellenious for the creation ceremony. The Angels of Twilight was now a battle-ready chapter.
Although the battle for Caliban was a victory, Abaddon had pushed his way through the Cadian gate. Cadia was in ruins, and the surrounding systems were under chaos control. Chaos forces were now running rampart through multiple sectors. Never had chaos breached the Imperium to such an extent. It was definite that this war would last far longer and that the Imperium’s future was in dire crisis. With his chapter ready, Danarith and the rest of the Angels of Twilight headed for the front. What victories or defeats lay in their future is still yet to be known.
Doctrines
The Angels of Twilight come from a world kept in semi-darkness. Because of this and the fact that many members of the chapter has not yet reached full-battle brother status, the chapter fields a bit more scouts then what most would. Nearly ¼ of the chapter are scouts, but this number is decreasing as more and more members are promoted. In any case, the chapter does have strong beliefs in stealth and so will always give scouts a major role on the battlefield.
The Angels o Twilight are a successor chapter of the Dark Angels, and because of this take Lion El’jonson as their primarch. Their leaders are referred to as Grand Masters and are furiously loyal to the Dark Angels. They also have an inner circle made up of the first company and the Grand Masters, all of whom know of Luther’s betrayal and the existence of the fallen. Because of this the Angels of Twilight will assist in capturing fallen but turn them over to the Dark Angels immediately after capture. The Angels of Twilight have no Deathwing or Ravenwing like the Dark Angels.
Colors and Organization
The chapter colors of the Angels of Twilight are dark gray and gold trim. They are organized like most Space Marine chapters into ten companies with the first being the elite terminators and the tenth being the scouts. Because of the large number of marines still in training the tenth company is quite large, but is quickly shrinking to a normal size as trainees are promoted and moved to other companies.

wow nice bit of history and background info there. people who give their forces backgrounds are cool, i sadly tend to just have cool ideas for an army, make a unit or two then stop. and i tend to take history from exisiting armies.

I had begun to create a chapter called the Tallarn Desert Kings ,but a friend of mine convinced me to not create it because Tallarn is a IG planet and it wouldn't work. Still the thought of having a Chapter based on the upper part of Tallarn dressed in the same color as the IG regiments would be nice.

GHOST MAKERS CHAPTER
Origins
The origins of the Ghost makers go back several millennia to about the 38th millennium. a ultramarine successor chapter the ghost makers were created to watch over the part of space that there homeworld lies much like Magragge. But also to spread the emperors Light through out the universe. And the chapter master Ghostius Yatesa will se this done
Homeworld And Early Chapter History
The Ghost makers hale from the planet of Spectus V a planet on the Spectus system west of Ultamar. It is a planet plagued by a strange power that makes all that die become Ghosts (though for some reason mainly due to the emperors light watching over them the ghost makers do not become ghosts but something more they do go to the complex after death but they become oracles of knowledge witch any brother can counsel the shrine in which these brave brothers inhabit is constantly kept to honour these brothers). These ghosts float eerily around massive crypt complexes that they are drawn to these structures were constructed by the orders of The chapter master |Ghostius Yatesa to imbue the wayward spirits with the weapons of his chapter. When the ghost makers kill an enemy they do not let them return to there foul masters and there soul is ripped from there body’s becoming Ghosts and get the fate these scum who would defy the emperors light. They eternally stay at the place of their death to languish in torment. This is how they became known as the Ghost makers.
Doctrines
Coming from the world of Spectus their weapons are imbued with the ghost of that place. there weapons act like any other weapon but instead of just killing there enemy they rip his soul screaming from there body. The Ghost makers also have a large number of dreadnoughts inhabited by the oracle brothers of the chapter.
Colours and Organisation
The colours of the Ghost Maker's armour is a dark green with a lighter green trim there weapons are mainly red and some of the higher ranking brothers and the banners of the chapter have a screaming Ghosts as the chapter standard.
The Ghost makers are organised into 10 companies these include the scout companies where worthy brothers can prove themselves to become true battle brothers. The main tactical company which is made up of the main brothers. The dreadnought company where the chapters many dreadnoughts and also heavy armour lie. and the 1st company where the chapter master himself leads his HQ section

Index Astartes: Apocalypse Legion
I'd like to hear your thoughts on my chapter history. Please, only constructive criticism as I don't want this to turn into a flame war or anything like that. Just good, honest opinions.
btw...this is two parts as it's a little long.
None are sure, save the blessed Emperor, the Inquisition and the chapter's High Council, of the exact origins of the Apocalypse Legion, yet many believe that they are one of (or an amalgam of) the chapters lost during the Thirteenth Founding. Certainly their size would support the latter, for they are one of the largest chapters on record, second only to the Black Templars and a few others in numbers of brother marines.
Origins
After the Horus Heresy, it was ordered that the existing loyal Space Marine legions were to be split into much smaller and manageable fighting forces known as chapters so that never again might such a large force be turned to Chaos and then unleashed upon the Imperium. Included among the mighty legions to be disbanded were the Blood Angels, progeny of Sanguinius. Those first chapters to be created included the Flesh Tearers and Angels Sanguine, yet they were not the last to be founded before the discovery of the Flaw. So it was that during the Fifth Founding the Wrathbearers were created, also unknowingly carrying the psychic echo of the noble Sanguinius' death.
Under the command of Chapter Master Ja'Hepth, the Wrathbearers took their small fleet of vessels and set out in a millennia long crusade against the forces of Chaos located not that far beyond the Cadian Gate, in the Eye of Terror. None are sure of exactly what happened, however, chapter lore says that the spirit of Sanguinius visited each marine of the chapter during the crusade and hastened the onset of the Black Rage...an occurrence which, in those early days, took centuries to manifest itself. The Crusade had barely lasted five hundred years. Barely able to control the marines within the vessels, the Wrathbearers withdrew from the Eye with all haste towards Terra, finally settling into orbit above the throneworld of the Imperium.
Immediately agents of the Inquisition quarantined the fleet and maintained the quarantine with a 4:1 ratio of ships from the Imperial Navy. Inquisitor Hyralis met with Judicator Ja'Hepth and two weeks later, the ships mysteriously vanished from existence. None of crews on board the Imperial vessels guarding the Space Marines remembered a thing. The Inquisition censored all records of the Wrathbearers and declared them Excommuncate Traitoris. Never again were the Wrathbearers to be spoken of as a loyal chapter, but as heretics.
So it was that Inquisitor Hyralis and a small group of biotechnicians from the Adeptus Terra led the Excommunicate Wrathbearers to a secluded system to the galactic east of the Ultima Segmentum and established a series of cryotanks and sarcophogai akin to those used by the Blood Angels Chapter. Entombing each of the remaining marines into one of these, they processed and treated the blood, trying to eradicate or lessen the effects of the flaw by diluting the blood. Kept in stasis for two thousand years, the marines of the Wrathbearers Chapter slept until the Thirteenth Founding. Two other chapters were a part of the experiment to cleanse the geneseed of the cursed marines, one of Ultramarine Progeny (Black Consuls), the other of unknown origins, but suspected to be that the Alpha Legion.
It was suspected by the Inquisition and the High Lords of Terra that the geneseed of the traitor legions itself was not tainted, but only the blood of those marines who had actually been a part of the chapter at the time of the Great Heresy. By experimenting with the original geneseed, it was thought that loyal chapters may still be bred from the un-mutated geneseed from at least some the original 9 traitor legions.
From the ashes of a nearly destroyed chapter rose the former Wrathbearers, cured (partially) to a marine, ready, once more to do battle but now carrying even more of a grudge against the forces of Chaos than ever before. Unfortunately, Judicator Ja'Hepth did not live through the treatment and his second, Judicator Malachai took command of the Chapter. Swearing an undying crusade against the forces of Chaos, Malachai re-christened the chapter the Apocalypse Legion for both its near destruction and as a herald to the doom to which they would bring the traitor legions, one of which was kin.
Home world
Dominus Prime:
Judicator Malachai chose the half blood-red, half obsidian-black planet in the center of the system as the chapter's home and within a decade, an extensive network of passages and fortresses spider-webbed across the planets surface and delved into its depths. The barren red desert providing an excellent training ground and the volcanic obsidian mountains, laced with diamonds, a fitful place for the crypts and main economic source of the chapter.
When rich metals were found, shipyards were constructed and battle barges built to carry the chapter across the stars. Thermal vents and the still warm core of the planet and vast lightless seas of hot water lie but a mile from the surface. Crystals and precious gems are found in abundance and obsidian is widely shipped off planet to fund the chapter's shipyards and factories.
The dual colored surface of the planet inspired the chapter heraldry as it not only represents the origins of Blood Angels and Black Consuls, but also the amalgam of gene-seed within each marine of the chapter. It symbolizes the dark side of each Marine....his equal who is still a member of the Excommunicate Traitoris Alpha Legion.
Dominus Prime is the seventh planet in a system of 13 worlds, the last eight of which are all colonized. The second largest planet, Dominus Secundus is a hive planet and a source of many of the chapters material needs that cannot be manufactured on Dominus Prime itself. Three others are agri-worlds which feed the entire system. As such, the Dominus System is a self-sustainable group of planets with four of the planets supporting their own Imperial Guard regiments and the might of a Space Marine Chapter to back them up.
Organization
Upon completion of the fleet, Judicator Malachai and two thirds of the Apocalypse Legion boarded and headed straight for the Eye of Terror. There have been no communications with Judicator Malachai or any of the vessels in the fleet for four thousand years. Occasional breaches in the warp storms allow century and milennia-old transmissions to reach the Imperium, speaking of the worlds cleansed by the zealous brother marines.
While many believe Judicator Malachai and his marines to be long dead, the chapter members outside of the Eye of Terror maintain faith that he will someday return to them. Many call such blind devotion foolish, but it is well documented that time does not progress at the same speeds inside the Eye of Terror as it does on the outside.
The thousand marines left upon Dominus Prime have since multiplied and there is no exact number of marines in the chapter as every now and then a few companies will board a vessel and enter the Eye of Terror, pledging their lives to search for their lost chapter master, Judicator Malachai.
There is suspected to be about twelve hundred marines upon Dominus Prime at any given time. The senior captains, librarians, apothecaries, and technomagii are all members of the High Council and govern all aspects of the chapter. The position of Judicator Primus is an honor bestowed upon the greatest of the present marines and is acknowledged as an interim position until the return of Judicator Malachai. Every two hundred and fifty years, the five most qualified individuals compete in a series of exercises that range in size from one-on-one combat to multiple company to determine who should hold the position for the next century. The current Judicator Primus, Bhaalus Ares, has held the position for the last seven centuries.
Unlike many other chapters, the Apocalypse Legion has very few tactical squads, preferring the speed and close combat afforded by assault squads. As such, instead of the normal ratio of 6:2:2 (tactical:assault:devastator), the chapter uses a 3:5:2 ratio.
Like most chapters that are of the Blood Angel line, the Apocalypse Legion also has a Death Company and a separate Veterans Company (Venom Guard) and Honor Guard.
Combat Doctrine
Very akin to all of the descendants of Sanguinius, the Apocalypse Legion excels in close combat. They are considered to be a premier strike force and few chapters match their effectiveness in close combat. The proportion of assault squads shows this dedication to close contact with the enemy and it is rumored that, unlike other Blood Angels descendants, the fury of combat and the carnage of close quarters battle sate their thirst for blood, not fuel it. As a result, whenever there is a conflict, Judicator Ares is quick to send a company or two to assist.
While heavy weapons are abundant in the armories of the Apocalypse Legion, few are ever used, most conflicts never actually seeing the chapter field devestator squads, but instead a tactical squad with a heavy weapon. They are seen as weapons of cowardice and are only used in times of dire consequence, when the need for firepower outweighs the need for honor.
The Apocalypse Legion makes use of all tanks used by the Adeptus Astartes yet do not employ them often and as such, generally only two will accompany a detachment of under 100 Marines. These vehicles are seen as little more than kill boxes and as such, held in contempt. Not the vehicles themselves which are revered chapter representatives of the Machine God, but the fact that they are so often targeted and result in the loss of entire squads at times. None can refute the power that they bring to a force however and an Apocalypse Legion batleforce with more than two tanks is a sign of ill portent.
Unfortunately, the Apocalypse Legion are also known for their cannibalistic traits and will feast upon the officers of the slain to gain their memories and battle tactics. More than one army that has fought beside the chapter has refused to do so again. Their commanders have openly condemned the chapter to heresy and most are part of a movement to have the entire chapter purged from existence.
Inquisitorial Review
The Apocalypse Legion is also one of a number of Space Marine Chapters under Inquisitorial scrutiny. Their cannibalistic practices, as well as their virtual reverence for Sanguinius and willingness to operate near independently of Imperial orders has caused members of the Ordo Malleus to look closely at their organization and four inquisitors, Inquisitor Khale Osiris, Inquisitor Maire Eidolean, Inquisitor Tyraes Maxis and Inquisitor Resheigan Nike have been sent to investigate the possibility of Heresy.
Special Rules
Aside from all rules noted in Codex: Space Marines and Codex: Blood Angels, the Apocalypse Legion have a number of other special rules.
Inquisitors: The Apocalypse Legion may be led by an Inquisitor instead of a Leader but cannot be accompanied by an Honor Guard, only his/her retinue. If this is the case, no Librarians may be present in the army organization either. However, they may take Inquisitors as allies normally.
Contempt for Heavy Weapons and Armor: The Apocalypse Legion eschews the use of devestator squads in all conflicts of less than 2500 points. They may also only take 2 tanks in any conflict of less than 2000 points.
Assault Squads: As per the 40k rulebook, the Apocalypse Legion may take Assault squads as troop choices and must take any compulsory Troops or Fast Attack choices as Assault squads
Hatred: When encountering any of the Traitor Legions, the Apocalypse Legion may lose control of some of its Marines. To represent this, all squads that are within range, must charge, no matter the situation

critique: I don't feel a chapter that is about to be scrutinized by the inquisition would be allowed to orbit terra, 4:1 quarantine or not. If i were you, I'd have them quarantined at some hive world, before their mysterious disappearence.
I also don't quite understand the "emnity" rule. does that mean that the AL turn on their allies to feast on the fallen, or do the friendlies fight the AL because they're cannibals and not to be trusted? either way, there is no magic timeout allowing allied troops to fight each other. you're screwing with the very game mechanics here. its akin to a sailor scout being invulnerable during her 5 minute transformation. battle doesn't stand still, while you are happily fighting each other, so is your enemy. bad rule.
besides, such behaviour would lead to more than just a movement to shut them down. it is evident that the apocalypse legion did not manage to keep it under wraps, unlike the blood angels whose red thirst never got beyond the status of a rumour if i remember right. thus the inquisition would not merely send 4 inquisitors, they'd stick a "shoot me" sign on your chapter's collective backs and have them spread into the four winds like a little butter on hot toast.
the rest of the chapter background makes for an interesting and enjoyable read. its a little on the far-fetched side, but so is most fluff concerning marines. so no biggy.
however, whats this ecosystem stuff? does it actually have anything to do with the chapter? because it doesn't really add any flavour to your army. if you check other fluff, there isn't actually a lot of mention besides statements such as "great beasts dwell within these forests" or "packs of huge fenris wolves hunt the frozen plains".
if you find fun in writing such stuff down, you might wanna seperate it from your army fluff as "data on the planet" or something. it also might lead to people smirking when you engage in unexplained biological oddities such as non-phototropic plants that are bioluminescent for no good reason that one can see.
i mean, your chapter is weird enough, the planet doesn't have to be some sort of miracle as well ;)

Actually I should just edit the planet stuff out. when I posted it at another forum, someone wanted to know why the planet was split in color. As for the rule, that makes sense. I put it in there but haven't had a chance to implement it yet anyways so it's nothing to get rid of it.

Index Asartes: Shadow Angels
Background:
Born in an era of truce between the Dark Angels and Space Wolves, the Shadow Angels were a combination of Dark Angel and Space Wolf gene seed in an attempt to give the best of both chapters.
when the blood-feud was reconviened between the Space Wolves and the Dark Angels, the Shadow Angels were shunned by both sides and spent three millenia in isolation from their bretheran on a perpetually dark planet near to tyranid infested space, even in isolation they remained active covertly, striking under cover of darkness, leaving no trace (as they had trained constantly on their home planet) the destruction of their oppontents was mostly put down to errors or mere luck by the attacking imperial forces.
Finally after three millenia in the shadows the Shadow Angels and Dark Angels found themselves assaulting the same planet, using simmilar tactics each without the other's knowledge, finally, at the heat of battle Nikolai DarkFang (the Supreme Grand Master of the Shadow Angels) and Azrael (the Grand Master of the DarkAngels) met up near to the Ork Warboss and put aside their conflicts to eliminate the Ork Warboss, since then the Shadow Angels have been allowed entry into the Unforgiven chapters and during the Eye of Terror campaign they put aside their differences with the Space Wolves.
Special Rules:
The Shadow Angels follow the rules outlined in both the Dark Angels Codex and the Space Wolves codex (minus the blood feud, Deathwing and Raven Wing)

There are no chapters founded from the Space Wolves. This is stated in fluff, there was one but it was disbanded due to genetic instability. Other than that its your world dream it.
However, to assume both sets of special rules is more than a bit over powered. I'd say pick one or even better use the trait system in the SM codex.

I think he is right, there arent any chapters from the space wolves, but, i could be wrong. On the other hand that is a neat history, if there werent any chapter from the space wolves, you story would still stick. Since its not a full blown chapter from just them.

My old Marine Chapter was Chapter 6, the Light Bringers. "The Emperor's Will is your torch...With it, destroy the shadows..."
Backstory (summed up, I have a full write up in a notebook in my gaming closet):
The Light Bringers were a model of tactically ruthless efficiency and loyalty during the Emperor's unification of mankind. Horrified by the taint of chaos, the Light Bringers were the spearhead of the assault which drove the Traitors back into the warp.
The Light Bringers followed the Traitor Legions into the Eye of Terror, waging constant battle for 10,000 years against the forces of chaos. As time passed, the Administratum erased all memory of the Chapter from the Codex Astartes.
Finally, Upelo Maltheo, Light Bringer Primarch sacrificed himself to buy the rest of his men a chance to fight thier way out, which under new Chapter Commander Lucius Morningstar, they did. The nature of the warp made their time in the Eye appear as a mere 1000 years. Commander Morningstar immediately contacted the Adminstratum to offer his services to continue the Chapter's defense of humanity.
Special Rules Due to the Light Bringers time in the Eye of Terror, they ignore Fear, and treat Terror as Fear. Otherwise, they use the Space Wolves Codex, except they do not receive +1 to WS.

Chapter - Imperial Ghosts
Background :
Born from the gene seed of the finest Imperial guard "gaunts ghost" and inhanced with a gene seed of a fallen space marine, The Imperial Ghosts is born allthough possibly not approved by the emperor himself.
In order for the Imperial Ghosts to succeed they needed to train within a cathacan deathworld home planet and so have occupied it as their home plannet. They live, eat and train with the deathworld cathacans and so have created a strong bond with them.
The Cathacan planet is covered by vast jungles and a grand ocean both of which hide creatures readily willing to prey on the civilians of the planet. since the Imperial Ghosts Occupation of the planet deaths from these sources have been lowered as each day the chapter is required to "hunt" as part of the training. Because of this training they are extremely skilled in stealth and hit and run tatics.
The Imperial Ghosts color scheme is adopted from Gaunts Ghosts, their primary color is green, secondary black and their trim is red.
The Imperial Ghosts havnt had a chance to prove themselves on their own yet but have fought in several magor battles along side with the Imperial Guard most recent of which was the battle for the cabal system.
Fielding this army in a Table Top game:
To field this Chapter in a table top game you have two options:
1. Field the Chapter with the Imperial Ghosts color scheme (Green, black and Red) and use an appropriate army setup. 1/4 of your forces must be Scouts or Assault marines (for the stealth and hit and run tatics of the chapter). vehicles are limited, as they have been trained with out them, but the following are allowed:
*dreadnaught (any)
*land speeder
*Rhino

2. Field the army with an Imperial guard army (if your opponet allows you to) 1/4 of your army has to be Imperial Guard (preferably the Cathacans) and the above rules apply. normal restrictions/rules aply to the Imperial guard, the Imperial Ghosts alliance doesnt affect this.
Special rules (for option 2 only):
All space marines may *infiltrate* if fielded with a Deathworld Cathacan Veterans army (at a cost of 10 points a model). Scouts may lay trapes (at a cost of 20 points) as if they where a cathacan deathworld devils squad.
what do you think should anything be changed? and help would be good cause I have a squad of marines that I want to use to start of this chapter.

Here's an original SM chapter I've been pondering recently:
Over thousands of years the geneseed of X chapter has slowly been corrupted, making the phase nineteen implant of fully three-fifths of all new marines not perform correctly. As a result of this, half of the marines in the chapter cannot wear power armor and must continue to wear scout carapace armor for their entire lives(1). However, partially because of this and partially in spite of it, the chapter has had more than the usual success in gathering the geneseed of its fallen warriors(2). To make up for this genetic problem, they keep their numbers above the usual 1000 warrior rule, hiding the extra two hundred or so in their scout company from any snooping Inquisitor. Furthermore, X chapter has become adept at making sure their 5% tithe consists of only pure geneseed. This of course hurts the chapter by depleting their already relatively low stocks of pure geneseed, but beats the possible alternative of exterminatus were the Inquisitors to discover this genetic aberration.
Fluffnotes:
(1) You may be wondering why only a half of the marines have scout armor when three-fifths of the initiates don't have working phase 19 geneseed. This is simply because the fortunate ones who can use phase 19 tend to live longer :)
(2) More marines dying means more geneseed!
That's the fluff. How it would work in my army lists would go something like this: the cost of a scout is reduced by X points. Furthermore, at least half of the troop selections must be scout squads. Tactical squads can be taken as elites as well, however. Tac squads may upgrade their sergeant to either a veteran sergeant or an apothecary for X points. Veteran scout squads (elites) are also available, special rules for which I am not sure, but probably only consist of them being able to purchase veteran skills. I'm not sure if I'd want to do anything with bikes, or scouts with jump packs, but the possibilities are attractive.
I've always liked scouts though. This army list would be pretty fun to convert and assemble if I ever got back into the game. Which unfortunately isn't likely.

thats good, But i think because you will get scouts for less points i think you should make some sort of sacrafice. Like because most of your army isnt as supperior as most other chapters they shouldnt get any heavy weapons in their squads or something, otherwise preety original chapter :)

Well, I was sort of thinking that because fewer tac squads could be fielded, that was enough of a disadvantage.
Just rethought some things, though. Since only half of the marines can use power armor, wouldn't the chapter masters tend to populate the assault squads more heavily with the power armored? Plus, I believe power armor helps with the firing of heavy weapons, so Devastators would be another drain on the power armored.
Thus, new rule: ALL troop selections must be scout squads. Tactical squads become only an elite choice. Devastators and Jumpers are regular marines.
