Cata mod would be very nice but there are many other project out there that people wont to finish. You are not the first to ask for one, with that and the game being out as only as it has with no one doing a big effort in to making it...........

BmB, if you're going to tell people to spell correctly, you should be doing so yourself.

Now, as far as I know there is no Cataclysm mod active, nothing along the lines of Requiem War. It has been considered a few times, but there are several large problems (drone frigates are very hard to implement, IIRC, same goes for the crystal thingies and the energy shields.), and apparently not enough people want to see this. You would need a fair-sized team to accomplish that, it is a total conversion, meaning a lot of work.

And I think Cata sucked(ships were ok at best), but hey, if you guys want a cata mod, GO FOR IT! Just most of the good modders hated cata, I think.

I like Cata but I think the "unliked" part of it comes from they did things VERY differently. I love the Destoryers and Dreads the fighters were IMO well done. Its the Frigs that where just bad. as soon as I got Destroyers scrap all my firgs but the Taiidans of course. All the Moduals(sp) you had to build and the story had some problems with it.

Well, the modules approach was actually pretty well thought-through, something I can't say for HW2. If you wanted to build ships, you needed a hangar, so you built one, not some small hub that for no readily apparent reason is located at the outside of the mothership.
The resourcers in Cata were kickass. I liked the fact that your MS finally could kick some ass and defend itself against a few bombers, unlike the Pride of Hiigara that would eventually get owned by a squadron of interceptors.
The frigates were not useless. Maxed out hive frigs would own maxed out destroyers any day.
