Okay, I'm taking time off from painting so I'll do it quickly

Resources:

Forums/threads:
forums.sijun.com
--->SpeedPainting thread IV, there are 430 pages of SPs in this fourth iteration of SP threads, feel free to search for the other 3 SP threads, they usually average to 3,000 posts per thread, http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=29807&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

--->Life Drawing thread: http://forums.sijun.com/viewtopic.php?t=34511&start=0

conceptart.org/forums
--->SpeedPainting, not as popular as the one over at sijun, and there are some redundant posts (like pigbelly and sparth and vyle and... me, but it's worth looking into) http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3525&page=1
--->Featured artist daily: contains Sparth, Bengal, and Coro's stuff. They did a painting everyday for a while back, so when you check it out, look at the threads from the beginning to see all of their l33t works.
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=35
--->Daily Sketch Group, or DSG. This is the forum that vijil goes to every once in a while.
http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=30&f=39
--->explore every other aspect of this massive forum, there are lots of specific areas like Photoshop and Painter and life drawing forums in it.

cgtalk.com it has drawing and painting as well as lots of modeling and CG related forums/threads/tutorials I don't go do too much modeling so I don't visit there often so sorry if you'll have to go find the tutes there your self.

<break subject=news>
cgchannel.com great daily source of CG news
</break>

scifi-meshes.com This is where Shade hangs out, sporadically. Another modeling forum.

eatpoo.com forums, there's not as many people there but it's still a good source

Tutorials:
[beginners]Anticz.com has lots of great drawing tutorials. If you want to learn how to draw heads and figures using elemental circles and cylinders as your guide then step right up.

[misc]GFXArtist.com too have lots of inspiring artworks and also good tutorials to boot. I dunno how difficult their tutes are, pretty easy to me... but, you decide.

[Advanced] Marko Djurdjevic's tutorial on badass character illustration, lots of pictures, goes over everything loosely and also composition and the need to study real world weaponry: http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=22701

CG modeling tute:
3dtotal.com there's a gallery and lots of tutorials. At the top of the tutorial page are links to maya, lightwave, and softimage tutes (I think, don't quote me on it) but there are good generic tutorials too. So don't get discouraged when all you see are max tutorials on the first page because there are more!

Links page:

http://designstudiopress.com/about/links.html tons of links to great concept artists

http://www.sumaleth.com/links/ massive banks of links to anything from drawing to modeling. I probably didn't need to write all that I've written because they probably are in there already. And it has tons more too...

oh, and finally, check out Sparth.com (Sparth, Nicolas Bouvier), Goodbrush.com (Craig Mullins), bengal.com, and artbyfeng.com (Feng Zhu). You won't be disappointed.
