So you are going to field a Sisters army without a Penitent Engine?! That one model justifies the entire questionable existence of the Sisters and is one of the coolest things ever in 40k. Go get one! :)
I would advise against taking only a single Penitent Engine. An Armour 11, open topped vehicle that always moves toward the enemy dies easily, and usually quickly. If you have three, on the other hand, the chances of one reaching the enemy lines increase dramatically. In addition, three Engines are no more than 240 points.
Do you only have a single Death Cult Assassin? If so, I wouldn't bother taking him/her. They don't usually do much on their own.
If I'm not mistaken only Adepta Sororitas models may take a praesidium protective. As such, your Inquisitor may not have one.

my mistake about the protectiva, didnt look closely enough at armory. replace it with power weapon for same points cost.
the reason i omitted all the cool wierdness is a) its expensive b) i wanted a solid core of troops with high mobility and c) the priest special rule means my shooting would be much worse. as i havent played for a while and because im not used this style of army im leaving out all the more random assault troops (sisters repentia, arco flagellents, pentient engine) in at least my first 1000pts of purchases. i will definately try and get all of those units soon after, as well as a retinue of henchmen for the inquisitor, who in this army would be fielded with his storm trooper bodyguard.
from the options availible i feel a sisters army specialises in close quarters fire-fights, so this is what i decided to go for for my basic list. after i get the units above, il probably go for seraphim and celestians, maybe retributors. ive kept it a sisters-heavy force for the versatility and the acts of faith. im looking forward to spoiling an eldar players fun with spirit of the martyr (starcannons not so good against 3+ invulnerable saves) i would like to expand my army to the point were i have enough models to field all sisters, no sisters (get out my smurfs for allies) or a mix of the two
btw i havent bought any yet. i wasnt sure of the best choices, so i posted what i was thinking of and im going to edit my list in light of peoples suggestions.
wow. im guessing they released a witchhunters codex now. What is a pentient engin?

So imagine a big humanoid robot. Then imagine that robot having all sorts of whirling buzzsaw blades and other similar hurty devices. Then imagine a wretched, wailing sinner chained to the front of this contraption as penance for his sins, and then the whole thing being pointed at the enemy lines and let loose. That's a Penitent Engine.

its kinda like a big, more mechanical arco-flagellant. same principle (suicide-sinners lol)

It's as they said, has a variable number of attacks and can be fielded in squadrons of three. You have to have a preacher in your army, I believe too. Just like with the Arco Flagellants you need to have a specific member in your army. I can't wait to add them to my DH force.
