OCD's ARE huge !!! In the B5 universe, they're over 1700 meters long and roughly 40 million metric tons. Talk about HEAVY IRON :)

that's like... over a MILE long dude... that's pretty plankin long!! 5-6 minutes to run at full speed the length of that ship for the non-Olympian but very fit human. %) :D ...a most excellent model maudib (for the severalth time, but still)

Peeps: The original HW HVC was something like 6 kilometers long and the HW Mothership was 21 kilometers long, or so they would be if you went by the manual and how large the ships are compared to each other. That destroyre looks to be around 20 klicks long at the least, but that's probably an optical illusion.

Thanks again Ghent for your expert assistance in the coding end of the omega. Couldn't have done it without you. I gave you full credit for your contributions in the credits :) The in-game scaling was something I had to carefully consider. The prob. is that the Omega is a really huge war machine, but i couldn't scale it that way or i would have AI prob. with too LARGE a ship. Also, the min. size of the starfury fighters is another limiting factor in making the ship too small. the fury's are as small as can be made again without undue AI prob. for too SMALL a ship size. If you look at the 1st pic in this series, the fury's look pretty good against the docking bay opening. I think the omega needs to be a bit larger, but it's a good compromise :) I will scale all future B5 ships based on Cnl Pepper's starfury. The future holds a totally new high-poly Warlock from RedDragon/Maubid and some others, all properly LOD'ed of course for those of you with lower spec. pc's :D
