Pirate: copy this into the address bar: http://skywalker719.tripod.com/testRender.avi

Tripod doesn't allow external linking so you have to do that.

really have to get the ftp to my dad's ftp site... allows all free linking etc.

BTW, I just updated it with a new movie that has a starfield background, looks much bettah.
Working on a new one, with a pirate fleet vs a taidan fleet, maybe try some combat this time...

[edit] I do need some background pics, I only have crap ones. hi-res plz

nice, no too bad, i know i couldnt do it, but you need to work on the transition from flying toward you to away from you, its instant, no good, and its too short too, but otherwise good work

Yah, this movie was a test pretty much. the next one has the full shebang, with sound, hyperspace effects, explosions etc. It will rock. It might take a bit tho.

[edit] making a clip of a multibeam frig showing off its sexy ions. looks kickass. :)
rendering now

i like those ion beams better than the gae ones, the ripple as it emerges fromt he ship Is nessescafry though, it looks as though you just threw a blue stick on the ship, lol. not bad, links to any type of programs you got that might be freeware/shareware that i could use? i gotta get into this, if you could id like a link to a paintshop freeware/shareware demo or such, thanks man.

Err I wrote all the programs I used by hand, 'cept for POV ray.

http://www.povray.org/

Another program, forgot about it before, used to convert hw models to other formats:

3D Explorer (http://www.xdsoft.com/explorer/)

I didn't make the movies by hand, just the programs to make them. POV-ray is the renderer, I didn't write that. That is the one thing I could not write :)

I wrote a Wavefront .obj -> POVRay Mesh converter, which lets you use the ships in POV.
I also wrote a movie maker program, which lets you specify keyframes, and the program creates a POV-ray movie by interpolating throughout those keyframes.
Not that much work, if you can program...
