Has anyone tested the Cultists aginst various opponets yet?
Are they only usefull in the start but uesless later on or are they specalized enough to be usefull.
Anyone figured out how well they'd compare to the Grot?
Id playtest this stuff myself but I don't have DOW yet.

I use at least 2 squads of them throughout the game.
Mostly I cloak them and use them as artillery spotters but in addition to that I equip them with grenade launchers which deal some decent damage. I keep them a bit back from the front lines when used in this role since they are still frail but they can turn a battle that was evenly matched when used in that role.

Cultists with grenades are GREAT covering fire for PSM, the grenades have decent range and knockdown, hit those pesky heavy weapon squads then close to CC with your PSM.

Best way to use them is to build an aspiring champion, cloak them, run into the enemy base and summon the bloodthirster.
They're also good meat shields and scouting units. (heavy bolter squad troubling you? cloak them and send them in hand to hand combat)

Yes having quasi-artillery at tier 1 is great. Even useful in later game, especially with stealth.
Back them up with a line of Chaos marines, throw them out front and the make a good meat shield also.

Also makes a great tie-up unit for hero/commander units, they reinforce quickly enough to keep them busy for a bit while your forces bog him down with massed fire.

in the beta i only ever used them for what they were ment for....cannon fodder :evilnod:
btw do they still have the same annoying voices? or do they sound like the men they look?
