Bloodthirster....O wait built but not there

I was playing a multi-player game this morning as Chaos, 3v3, we were all duking it out and I click build Bloodthirster from the Daemon Pit, it starts to build I leave to keep on fighting, come back like 2 min later when it said complete but no Bloodthrister. He was not in my barracks or either pits to deep strike. And after it said he was built I was unable to try and build a 2nd one, the Bloodthirster icon wasn't even there next to the Oblits. Am I an idiot and just don't know how to bring him out or did it let me build the unit cause I know it took the resources and then not give me the unit or the ability to build a another one.

Select your chaos lord, sorcerer, or a squad with an aspiring champion attached to it, and click the "Summon Bloodthirster" Button.

The bloodthirster does not deep strike, he possesses a "willing" host. Any leader character (these would be aspiring champions, sorceror or chaos lord) can turn into the BloodThirster once he has been "built". Just select a leader or squad with a leader attached and you will see the correct button to press on the taskbar (its hard to miss).
