Problems Installing Patch

I'm having trouble installing the patch.... I get a 1603 Fatal Error everytime i try to execute it... i've tried getting off mirror sites and auto updates as well.... any help?

None at all...


Come to think of it this may be unrelated to the game... I let my buddy use the pc the other day and i think he installed SP2 while he had it. Is it possible that i could have gotten this message because of the administrative changes SP2 makes?

Uninstalled the crap that is SP2 and the patch installed fine...

And Microsoft wonders why it's losing market share...

SP2's technically not the problem, it's how the Install Shield installer interacts with the Windows Installer Service version 3.0 (which is included in SP2).

It's even more of a problem because it works on some SP2 installations, but not others.
