When installing Dawn of War, you may experience the installer ending and deleting all the files that have been installed.
This is apparently a conflict with Install Shield and Windows Installer 3.0 (which installs with Windows XP SP2).
To work around the problem, you can do a couple of things.
1. End Task the installer *just* as it's about to finish.
2. Uninstall Service Pack 2, and then install the game, and re-install Service Pack 2.

There has also been a patch released for Windows XP SP2 to fix some issues with windows installer.
