my local lan center was hosting an all night LAN party and we had several issues with trying to get games of more than 4-5 people.
what happens:
when someone tries to join a game that has been up for a little while they double click the game, it says "waiting" then the game disappears and then comes back after you get a message "could not find host" (or somehting like that)
how to resolve:
we noticed that if someone made a game, and then we all joined it very quickly, everyone was able to make it in without difficulites.
