hahaha THQ > Sierra
Anyway, this is a known issue. The trick is not to lose the bridge control point to the eldar... so when you go to take it, make sure you don't lose it (IE: mass all your forces there).

Sorry,
but the mission you are referring to is Mission 7, Mission 8 is the one where you have to conquer a temple, and the same bug occurs to me, so I am unable to complete the mission, with is really pretty annoying, especially when there is only one. And the bug always occurs in different situations, even playing the mission from the beginning doesn't help. So it would really be nice if someone could post a solution or a quickfix for this.
Thanx in advance.
P.S.: Oh, I forgot, I am playing the patched german version.

This issue is covered in the SP troubleshooting list.
You are killing the raptors before they have a chance to jump across the chasm, causing the scar error. Until we can release a fix for it, the workaround is to not kill the raptors until they have jumped over the chasm.

IM having this same problem, but not at the same part of the mission. The raptors have jumped the chasm, and were shot to pieces when they landed. All is well. I drop two squads of fully loaded termies with assault cannons on to the other side. Note that this is after the FC gives the OK to attack the gate. I advance my termies up towards the side of the chapel, where they meet a squad of raptors. Now heres the thing: The Raptors don't jump. They just move towards the termies to assault. They almost get into combat, but are broken and gunned down within an inch of the squad. Then a FSE pops up. I check the log, and is says could not complete rule raptor jump or something. Now, how can I expect to finish this mission if the AI never does what it's supposed to do? Or was I supposed to only assault the chapel from the front? How do you at relic expect to make a succesful campaign mission if there are tons of scripted events that rely on the player just guessing which way the game wants him to go? I blame THQ. I would have gladly have a delayed game then an early release, filled with bugs. I'd rather have been playing this game a couple weeks from now then have a bugged game now waiting for the next patch to fix a game which should be working fine in the first place.
THQ doesn't have to ensure that a game gets out early because a bunch of guys want to play it faster. They do however, have an obligation to ensure that the product which the customer has spent money on works without a bunch of patches.

Grunt:
Try attacking from around the eastern side, don't teleport them to where the raptors are hanging out (the center span). I teleported/dropped some troops to the west over the first chasm, and did not encounter the error.

Hmmm,
let me clarify my bug for information purposes. I have no problem taking over the base and hold it. I don't recall if any troops were jumping over the chasm or not, to be honest. Then I went straight up with a bunch of Predators and cybots, killing everything, and then straight to the east side of the chapel. In front of the chapel, where I should shoot the door, the error occurs, sometimes before I can shoot it down, but always when the imperials appear. I can't imagine why at this point the error should have something to do with raptors jumping? Where are these raptors on the map, so I can avoid them?
Thanks in advance for any helpful commentaries.
Go east at first, and then north to the chapel. That way you avoid the chasm-jumpers alltogether.
