Commander has 0 heath but doesn't die

In a multiplayer game my Space Marine commander unit was reduced to zero health but didn't die. I think that I saw this before with a standard Space Marine unit.

i didn't know how to do the replay thing. though i have a question. what is fractional health?

it looked really bad as the other player virtually accused me of cheating at my GCSE's A'Levels and my Degree in addition to the game.

Isn't there an ability that prevents your people from dying even if their health drops to zero, at least for a while?
