View Full Version : Permabroken CSM bug take 2

As some may recall I posted a thread hypothesizing that summoning a bloodthirster could cause the CSM squad it is summoned in to become permanently broken (even with full morale and no red circles); or rather, that they are singularly inaccurate and can't hit for crap.

I was unable to reproduce the bug, though.

Just now I was playing through a 6-Way FFA on Mortalis. I was fighting the last remaining opponent when I noticed my Missile CSM squad was, once again, not hitting ANYTHING. I watched them for some time and pretty much confirmed this. I saved the replay, you can find it here (http://www.deadlyshoe.com/dow/6WayFFA_Bug.zip).

The squad did NOT have a BT summoned into it, but 2 BTs were summoned over the course of the game.

I still have no real idea what causes it, only that it happens (rarely).

I have created a Video to save time on this. It'll take 20 minutes to upload from the time of this posting, though.

My initial impression was incorrect; only 3 out of the squads 4 missile launchers scored no hits. One scored hits at about the rate you might expect. My initial impression of a 'permanently broken squad' thus seems to have been incorrect. Note that the ML squad is at full morale throughout this video; the broken squad you can see is not equipped with missile launchers.
