Hey Ir ecently purchased a copy of Dawn of War, but the 3rd CD was scratched. so I have too problems, one is getting a 3rd CD, the secound is Uninstalling, when I had to exit the download because the 3rd cd wasent installing, it registered the game as installed and Im not allowed to reinstall/uninstall, their is no THQ folder and no registry on Dawn of War. How do I uninstall the "non-Existent" game. So I can re-install.

I'm interested in that too. I tried to erase the register searching the files who contain the words 'THQ' and 'Dawn' but stills at the registery. How i can unregister it without unistalling it?

You can manually comb the registry and kill the values, but I'd only recommend that if you are comfortable doing that.

You should be able to re-install from your CD in the partially installed state. It should give you a "repair this installation" option.

where on which CD

CD 1, the setup.exe. But your problem (in your other thread) is a screwup with windows installer, not simply a corrupt install.

setup.exe doesn't work it just says:
The installation source for this product is unavailable. Verify the source exists and that you can access it. D:\DawnOfWar.msi

Its just giving me a "play" option. No repair or anything.

Jader:

Are you getting the same error that shadrach is getting about the installation source being missing?

Shadrach: Working on it. Also, please try to use only one thread, either this one or the one you started. Otherwise this will just clutter up the forums.

I was having installer/uninstaller issues myself with the game and the demo, as well as just about every program I had installed that used "InstallShield"....and the only fix I could find was wiping my system and starting fresh. Still not sure exactly what it was....thought it was XP SP2, but since I've wiped my system clean, everything works as advertised.

How i can do that?

Click on "Start", select "run", type "regedit" and hit enter.
The registry editor will open. On the left you can see an explorer-like overview over the registry keys, on the right you can see the contents of the folder you clicked on.
Using the search function (ctrl+f) you can look for the keys DoW dropped in there and delete them.

Important Note: If you don't know what you are doing, you shouldn't be attempting this. Be very careful what you delete, you can seriously screw up your system by deleting the wrong values.

Hi,

Search for "DawnOfWar" in the registry, this should allow you to remove a entry from the installed and uninstall tables for Windows installer.
