possible fix for shadow glitch ati cards

i used to get a shadow glitch with my ati 9800 pro where the shadows would flicker, and sometimes stretch across the whole screen. but now i have the newly released ati drivers and it seems better now, i dont know if it;s completely gone but i don't notice it as much now, definatly improved. Also to Uber Jumper, i was wondering what your online name is?

I noticed a weird flicker yesterday for the first time. It only appeared for a split second and appeared as a single light black line about 1/8" wide extending at an angle across the screen. It was hardly noticeable and didn't distract from gameplay. I'm using a 6800GT with 66.81 drivers. I wonder if this is the same problem?

Did you ever get this resolved? I have a 6800GT, am using 61.77 drivers and see the glitch you describe. As great as high-res shadows look, the glitch was getting on my nerves so I scaled that setting back to get rid of it. Still, would be nice to re-enable high-res.
