Upgrade your firmware to the latest version. If this doenst work, buy a new router. We had this problem 2 weeks ago and a new router fixed it.
There is no port forwarding required to play this game, as long as you are DMZ. You and everyone else on your lan should be able to join games though only DMZ'd IP can host.

I assume you mean a revision B 704p?

i tried to play with Schlick as the host.. i am on ADSL (NAT port fwded) one other on ISDN his firewall down, (schlick can join) and the 4th on ADSL who is blocked by schlick.
when ISDN player drops firewalls totally he can then pass on packets, so he joins 2nd.. third place is hotly contested, schlick can join OR the other (port fwd) ADSL user.. but one will block the other.
we have tried xfire (google it) to handle NAT translation, which lets (for us) 3 ppl play. we a re sure we can get a 4th if ONLY the router issue could be solved.
so yeah, we still arent totally sure how to go about DMZ (?) and whatnot. anyone with experience with this particular router give us a yell out please?

yes i could be clearer.. Xfire app handles NAT so direct connect isnt a chore.. we still need a *prefered join order though.. and seeeing as shlick is cable internet, we figured the join order to be host adsl (NAT) / isdn / schlick / adsl (NAT).
so far it works to 3 players, however schlick (cable) and ADSL NAT both seem to block each other. so if we can fix schlicks router, the NAT joins last and its open warfare.
also, a big +1 hooray for Uberjumper, been reading here for weeks, you are a real help and your various posts here i this forum especially have been of great use to me and the few i play with sorting various issues. (not to mention those who posted) time to say thanks for no crashes, and for putting in such time troubleshooting with strangers. Kudos bloke, and thanks.

Schlick, make sure you put your IP into the DMZ of your router. It's explained in the online manual on page 26.
