The map editor is comming out later, Save/Load and Pause aren't essential elements to an RTS game. Seriously, when was the last time you even used the Save/Load function or pause? Gameplay wise DoW is far superior to many other RTS games on the market.

Out-of-game features are secondary at best compared to how the actual playing experience goes. save-Load of MP games is waaaaay too obscure to be used often. It would require players to know and trust eachother to end the game partway through and take off again with all the same arrangements, plus there's the problem of how an unfinished game system would require the entire stats system to be reworked.

... ? What? How does this equate to Relic Sucking (Which they don't)? Maybe if you took a bit of time to think about the things that were left out, would we really need a Load / Save function? That's for games that are more drawn out. Like Age of Empires or some other drawn out RTS (Sorry if the example is bad...). Map editor is coming out soon, Patience is a Virtue.

Now, I didn't even bother reading this entire post, so forgive me if i repeat what the other guys have already said...

Kryster, if you're going to make a dumb post, at least spell it right, it would be "Relic sucks". And no, they don't. This is a very sophisticated and advanced RTS visually and gameplay-wise. We all want those features, and yes, it would have been awesome if Relic had included them right away. But realistically, they didn't have time to (I assume that's why). So, for Relic, I give a :bandit:

As a side note, if you would have spent as much time as you put into registering for this forums to post a nice love letter to Relic about your true feelings about the game. You could have spent that effort checking the forums out to see what will be coming out for the game.

As a general rule of common sense. Allways research your game purchases before you even beging to think about buying them and or download the Demo. Other than that your just wasting everyones time.
