Hey,

Let me first state that I love this game! I think this is the best RTS i have ever played. The only thing that is really getting to me is that when I am in the mid of a great game and my sound just locks up and my whole computer just locks up. My good friend has the game and never gets lock ups. So we started to problum solve. I asked him what drivers he has ?
(side note : We both have the radion 9600 pro 128 mb card, and run windows xp pro) So he tells me he has the older drivers
CATALYST™ 4.8
Driver Build 6.14.10.6467
8-042-040803a-016701c

and i said I had the
CATALYST Windows XP 4.10

so i go get the old drivers and install and start up the next game. 10 min. into the game *BANG* total lock up! So i reinstalled the CATALYST Windows XP 4.10 drivers and started the next game. 10 min. into the game *BANG* total lock up, at this point I am getting "mad"

So I go update EVERY DRIVER my computer has, then updated everything that windows offers on the update site.
STILL NO GO!

What do I need to do !?

Computer Stats:
Chip : P4 3.0ghz 800FSB
Board :ASUS P4C800-E
Video Card : Radion 9600 pro 128 mb
Harddrive : maxtor 80gig sata
ram : 1gig 320mhz :(
firewall and antivirus is norton systemworks 2004

PLEASE GOD HELP , I want to play so bad

When you say "reinstalled drivers", did you follow the golden procedures of completely and utterly removing all remnants of the old drivers? I guess I'll explain:
-uninstall old stuff by way of add/remove programs-control center, everything
-reboot
-f8 into safe mode
-Run driver cleaner 3 to get rid of remaining stuff, reboot
-start up normally and install your new things, reboot, and should be all done

There is also an "ati remove" thing that the drivers install, but I don't think it removes anything more than what driver cleaner does. To be thourough I guess you could run that from safe mode, reboot again, safe mode again and THEN driver cleaner...
