serious problems with nazi insignias

Some players, needsnoname for one, use the swastika as their chapter insignia for banners and shoulder badges and I don't like it at all. I don't really care if they are using it in a post-modern ironic way or if they really are white supremicists that symbol of hate is inappropriate and it shouldn't be allowed in the game. I'm as big an advocate of free speech as the next guy, but gamespy is a private forum and therefore should be allowed to regulate the conduct of it's members. Gamespy wouldn't allow pornographic or obscene material in their gamerooms; there should be a way to report and bar players who use this offensive symbol.

Hard to police really, what with there being no ops or what not.

HW2 had badge showing in game room - I simply kicked those. DoW could do the same.

...and we're not getting into this again, especially not on the bug forum. There was a long-winded discussion about it in DoW GD already which lead pretty much nowhere. There is nothing you can do to police it. What you can do is turn off the teamcolors. I'm leaving this open to see if anyone has suggestions beyond that, but this will not turn into another "pro and cons of swastikas"-discussion.

I agree that Badges/Banners should show in the game setup screen so that Nazi-loving pricks (or stupid kids who thinks it looks cool or is funny) can simply be given the boot. Theres a VERY long thread on this in the strat replays forum, and u would do well to watch the replay because it is quite amusing.

And ppl, there really isn't any other solution than that. Its nigh-impossible for Gamespy or Relic to police this themselves, espically since as of now there are no ops. And there is simply no way for ANYONE to police this in automatch.

My best advice is this: If you have an offensive prick in your game that u can't stand, just kick his ass good or leave. If hes on your team...well you can do what kingslayer did and most people will want to pin a medal on ya :bandit:

Its about all you can do at least at this point. Maybe Relic will address this, but probably not in the coming patch because of all the mission-critical stuff that needs fixing. Don't hold your breath unless lotsa people start using Nazi schemes.
