Hi all:

I have a nice NVidia Riva TNT2 Model 64 graphics card I installed DOW a few weeks ago and I found that nice error called Spooge not found check out DirectX intalation or someting in this tune, so I realized that my card was not allowed by spdx9_config.txt:

; RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro
begin device 0x002D
allowdevice 0
end

That's because the cute Spooge anoying error was showed.
Then I put allowdevice 1 (same efect is got by removing the line) and the game could be open :argh: , all rigth so far, but real problems began when I tried to create a game, it begins to load with that nice green bar and this it crashes and automaticaly close DOW, so I decided to try with some of this nice commands that apears at the top of the spdx9_config.txt file:

; RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro
begin device 0x002D
allowrgba4np2 1
allowhwtnl 1
allowhwcursor 1
end

That's It!! With this confuguration I've played the eldars campaing for beginers two times. :D

But it's not always usefull because from about 100 times that I try creating a game, just 1 or 2 It works, and when I can play I see the figures of eldars (for example) as black shapes (the normal shape but colored in black), and the scenario is not in normal colors, it seems to be colored by a child with lot of color pencils. But anyway I can see the textures of the scenario (main points, minimap, the buildings features, etc).

Can anyone of you tell me and all of TNT2 users how to configure spdx9_config.txt in order to make our game work a lil bit better? even if i still see these extrange colours, I just want to play each time I launch the game

At last I'd like to congratulate the English to Spanish translators of the game because they have too much Spanish to learn and practise (I have a lot of english to learn too). The routers bug i also nice. :P

Anyway in a overall the game is cool.

thx for you time. Cuz its a mine!! cya. :nana:

That card is not supported by DoW. It surprises me that you actually got it to run on that card. The only solution I can offer is to buy a better video card.

You're not the only one surprised.

Anyway, is there any idea of wich kind of commands to put in the spdx9_config.txt??

I don't mind playing with wrong colors or textures or whatever. :D

You need a new video card. It's time to join the new millenium :-)

Your card is not supported -- the TNT2 M64 was under powered when it was released (and then adopted by every big box computer under the sun). It's quite surprising that you managed to get as much out of it as you have -- for official support you would need a GeForce or higher however.

Wyatt:

Don't be silly, this "problem" is you trying to run the game on hardware that's not supported.
