CD Authentification error

When i try and connect to lamespy for online games (as direct host wont allow more than 3 people to play for some reason) i try and connect, and get an error box saying *CD Authentification Failed*

If anyone knows why this is happening i'd be grateful.

Also, when i insert disc 1, instead of the menu havin *play game* at the top to replace *Install Game*, i still have Install Game everytime.

Its odd as i have tried reinstalling several times but with no change.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but havent been able to find a *search* section, and when i try the forum jump at the bottom of the page, i get told i dont have sufficient permission to do so.

Patched to 1.01 (cant find 1.1 patch that i saw mentioned earlier)
XP2400 @2.2ghz

You've likely entered the CD key incorrectly.

but that would stop the game installing, no?

And its accepted it everytime i have re-installed since i got the game the wednesday after it was in the shops (posted from play.com)

There are apparently some keys that will be accepted even if they're not valid.

Apparently the G's and 6's are very similar looking.

If you're comfortable editing the registry, you can find it in HKLM\Software\THQ\Dawn of War\
