And I belive it's eldar specific.

Build an aspect
Que Exarch
Exarch reaches 100% but there is a noticeable time delay before it is actually added - almost 10% of build time.


Overwatch:

Build an aspect
Que Exarch
Hit overwatch
Exarch reaches 100 but it hangs there for again a period of time - then the unit reinforces 1-2 sometimes more before even adding the exarch.


Quite annoying especially when I know I have more than enough req and do not wan't to wait on the exarch at 110% before added. Nor do I need to add exarch then go back to the squad to reinforce it.

Tested this some more - it is indeed a 100% reproducable. Annoying as hell and limiting - please fix it. And as for the second part when it decides to add an exarch it is actually allready complete it just decided to reinforce first then add it (it being code).

I was wondering about that. Noted weird behaviour, but never gave it much thought. Doesn't ever seem to happen with Dark Reapers, but usually does with Warp Spiders. Maybe he got waylaid at Khaine's Fortress of Blood & Bagel joint.

happens with banshees and spiders - also rarely however with reapers as well as guardian warlocks

Bump - This bug is actually worse with patch almost a full 30 seconds at 100%.... in addition the overwatch insists that it adds squad members first even if it means bumping the 100% complete exarch down, adding a squad member, bumping the exarch down, adding another etc.

The patch made this almost unplayable as exarch's are kinda important to eldar.....

And as deadly pointed out it wasn't that big with reapers, post patch it is noticably worse.

Thats where they went to.

I had 3 Banshee squads Exarchs trained, to 100% as they were entering Melee, and i was waiting for the WarShout icon to drain the enemies.
It never came.
Instead, i had to pull back, in each squad i had 2-3 Banshees. Then the Exarchs strolled onto the Set in what seemed like an eternity.

Just took me a full minute before I got an exarch from 100% to actualy show up (banshee). Damn man eldar players so good I think there is a handicap setting somewhere.

Anyway post patch seems relic couldn't bother to fix anything, and if they did they simply took the offending code out so other races players wouldn't whine, or simply don't pay too much attention to this forum.

Yeah i'm jumping to conclusions because I been around since HW1 and this has always been their approach and track record. Its the reason why I don't have any more benefits of the doubt...

Want proof i'm not bitching without reason? We told them about conceal problem since beta 1.01, its been how many months? And still no fix other than the delete key.

I checked the conceal on council in game and it does indeed look like it is simply taken out - the 5 member council died within 2-3 seconds difference with and without conceal.

GL with their next game, whatever it is I won't be bying it.

Missed this thread the first time around. This is a known bug, has been since Beta, IIRC.

The problem is a LUA setting that basically says "upgrade when moving = false." Give a stop order to the squad and the Exarch will instantly appear.

so if it said 'true" it would work? Doesn't seem to work even if the squad is not moving but I'll test it out.

little follow up to vertigo's explanation:
if the exarch is finished but the squad is moving at the moment, then exarch is delayed and the next item in the queue will be started (this includes overwatch). if there was another item in the queue, then the exarch will not appear until the new started item is finished/cancelled and the squad is standing still at the same time - the game will not interrupt the building process of another item just to add your delayed exarch.

this mainly happens with banshees yes (only seen it with Eldar, Banshees).
when i que the exarch as the first reinforcement or between the rest of the reinforcements, it just hangs, after it's "loaded" of jumps back behind one more unit, and loads again.

therefor i now build exarches as the last units added.

sux pls fix it :(

Sps, Thorak is exactly right, as always.

This is one of those dirt-easy LUA fixes, too. A one-word change.
