Hosting problem

Hello, im having problems hosting a game on lan. I have tried going through and enabling the udp ports through the firewall running (norton firewall 2005) but it still does not work. I have disabled the windows firewall so that shouldnt be a problem. The problem is with my pc hosting, i dont know why but if i host on my laptop i can connect with my pc just it does not work vicaversa. Please help me, the laptop is too shite to host!

Can you host when you completely shut off your firewall?

Nope, but its ok i figured away around the problem. It just wouldnt le me load from the LAN Multiplayer section, it would show the game (not the ping) and give me an error of some sort. If i go into direct join and type in the ip 192.168.0.1 it lets me join. Thanks for replying anyway
