Dear Relic,

A person behind a router MUST have the router's port 6112 to be forwarded to the person's PC IP adress. Then, 2 or more persons behind the same router can't play on the same game.

At the beginning, I didn't understand why I was obliged to be able to accept connections on the 6112 port as I wasn't creating the game. Then I understood, and it's nice : it permits the game to continue even if the gamer that created the game disconnects or crashes.

But, here is my problem, and certainly the problem of other persons. My brother and I have bought the game. We are both behind the same router, as our two PCs are on our local family network. Then, we both can connect on the gamespy server, see the games, but we can't play in a multiplayer game on the internet at the same time ! If my brother creates a game, I can't go in it, and vice versa. If I play, he can't play, and vice versa. And if friends come with their PC at home, same problem. Only one person can play.

On my router, I can only forward the 6112 port to one PC (logic). Then I'd need some other ports to be used by the game.
Could you permit the gamer to choose in the game the port he wants to use (or allow the gamer to write it in a config file)?
Anybody behind a same router would be able to play an internet multiplayer game. I don't know the game network protocol, but perhaps could it be not too much time consuming.

Waiting to be able to play with my brother and friends.
Thank you very much.

NB : My brother and I bought the game 2 times for the 2 CD keys, to be able to play on the internet.
