DOW and 3DNow

I was wondering if DOW can use AMD's 3DNow instructions. If so, how do you enable it?

No it doesn't. It does take advantage of SSE, which Athlon XP's (Thoroughbred core+) does support. However, if you have a Duron you are out of luck, and yes, the game will run very slowly.
