Unable to patch my game

When I try to patch my game to 1.1 it says "patching error, this patch should not be applied to your version".

So I thought maybe the version they had sold me was the international, but I downloaded that patch and it says wrong language version.

Do I need version 1.01 in order to patch to 1.10? And if I do, why oh WHY for the love of god is patch 1.01 nowhere to be found!?!?

Yay me, logged onto the multiplayer server and it autoupdated. You guys should really make it a point to inform people of this.
