I recently bought a BT 205 ADSL Router, and when I try to host games other people cant see my room.

I read somwhere I have to open up ports, so I looked through my router settings and found the port opening option, but I dont understand it...

Could anyone whos got a 205 help me out with this please?

ok oprotocal u want to set one for udp and one for tcp/ip ip address is the machines ip address you want to forward the data to i.e. 10.0.0.3 or 192.168.0.1 destination port and local port should both be the port you want to open up dunno which ones dawn of war uses tho rule id i think is just a name to save your rule as.
you can get your local machine ip config from start->run->"cmd"->ipconfig /all if you are forwarding ports it is best to make sure the machine u forward ports to has the same ip address every time you boot it up so simple specify one using network place ->connections -> "my connection" -> tcp ip -> properties specify an address and specify an address that will work with your router
