I HATE parralel parking. Its the only manuver I have trouble with. I can never get close to the curb... I need 3 car lengths most times in real life...

I live this every night trying to park in front of my apartment building; how many points are they going to give me for wedging my Neon in between a Dodge 3500 Turbodiesel and a Ford F250 Superduty? :D

Hey, I got a 206. Ran out of time on the last one, though. The turning radius on those cars is completely not in scale with the amount of space you have to turn it in.

What I hate, though, is parallel parking on the wrong side. When you learn to do it, you're always taught to do it on the right, since that's the side of the road that you drive on here. For all you non-USA types, this is obviously different. When I got to college, though, most of the roads are one-way, meaning that you have to parallel park to the left. It can be a bit nerve-wracking, I'll tell you. :err:

We park on the right in America, although I did learn how to park on the left in drivers ed. I didnt really care for either. I dont parallel park unless I have too.

Well, almost every country that was never a British colony drives on the right, so it's not just the US.

Anyway, parallel parking isnt all that hard. Just start turning hard into the space when you are directly next to the car in front of the space, and pull back until your front will be able to go into the space without hitting the car in front of you when you turn the wheel in the other direction. Really it's all about knowing the boundaries of your car.
