This game looks awesome. check it out at www.vampirebloodlines.com (http://www.vampirebloodlines.com)
I'm pretty suprised this hasn't been brought up before, a number of people on these forums have it.
Yes, it is awesome.
Despite the numerous bugs, mainly graphical and control related, the game is hugely immersive. It has a deeper atmosphere than System Shock 2 (Heretic!) and is everything Deus Ex was and more, it's pretty safe to call it a hybrid of the two but a lot, lot darker.
Been playing it now for about 20 hours gametime and from what i gather i still have a long way to go.
(the bugs comment is coming from someone who thought that DoW wasn't that bad pre-patch, think what you will)
edit: and it's "Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines" the sequel to vtm:redemption, a 3rd person RPG which was also awesome

Shameless pander... huh? What?
That would be Bloodrayne.
Bloodrayne 2 should be out over the next couple of weeks, demo is fun if you like 3rd person slash em ups, i'll be getting it.
mmmmmm, more hot vamp chicks....
Do not mind ceejay. He is a newbie.
I have yet to get Bloodlines, but among the recent releases like HL2, Bloodlines is the one that I want.

I want to get it to, but it's not such a priority (Half Life 2 has already made my life complete). Still, whilst it may be buggy and needing some balancing, it's extremely in depth. There's something like 10000+ lines of dialog, different for each of the 7 Bloodlines. It seems in many ways like Baldur's Gate in that respect (which had plenty of bugs, but plenty of depth as well).
EDIT: YAY! My thousandth post!
According to ani you gain experience by getting laid in that game. Now if that doesn't convince people to buy it, what will?
yeah, theres at least 2 characters you can "gain exp" from, ones a male tho :|
then theres VV, treat her right and she'll pole dance for ya:

It's a pretty decent game I'm considering more likely gonna borrow but it runs off the Valve's source engine (next quake engine?)

Hmm, characters don't look as well done as in HL2, but I have heard that the gameplay is quite good. I'll check it out.

I dont think whoever took those is running at max detail, because thats what it looks like on my machine.
Wait until you run into the Tzimisce. Quite a bit of detail there, even on low.

Even so, the eyes look flat and have no depth like HL2 eyes. And the skin material is completely textureless. Feels rather plastic. But either way it could be a great game still.

Like I said. Low detail. There is a bump mapping option that I don't even have access to.
Those are screenshots i took.
1280x1024, Bump Mapping is turned on, all other details up on the max.
Maybe it's about time i started messing around with application controlled AA.

If Planescape can be immersive with 640x480 and Annah cute with a blurry sprite with a tail, I'm not going to complain about graphics.

Hey guys. I'm going to take another opportunity to pimp the new site. Some of you will have seen my old Bloodlines site. Well it was so good that GameSpy came over to my place and fed me peeled grapes until I agreed to run PlanetVampire (http://www.planetvampire.com) for them.
To be honest I jumped at the chance. My existing site was being hammered and that much bandwidth isn't free. :)
I got my complimentary copy of the game from Activision the other day but I've been so busy working on this site I haven't actually played it for more than half an hour yet. :o
