I am ticked, please help before my head blows up.

All right I bought the game and get to installing, and I get to disk 3, it starts installing the sounds files (I think) and then it says error Data3.cab is corrupt, problem with network, reading from CD-Rom, etc.

Please help me with this, cause...it's annoying.

Make sure the CD is not scratched and clean. Try copying all three CDs to your hard drive and try installing from there.

I copied all the CDs to my Drive and then started doing the thing where you wait till it gives you the error, copy what you got so far, the install again into that copied folder, but now I can't get past the file w40kdata_sharedtextures_full1.sga, is there any other solution, to get past having the problems with the sound I took one of the files (w40kdata_sound-low) and faked it (changed to w40kdata_sound-med), but thats sound and I can deal with low quality sound, but I kinda want my men to have skin and stuff and not just be a set of white polygons. I'd ask if theres anywhere else to get this file but thats sorta illegal, but if I were to install this on my old comp and extract the files I need and put them here on my new comp do you think I'd be good?

Is your windows fully patched and up to date, particularly your windows installer?

Hmm... Those filenames are incorrect. They should be w40kData-sound-low.sga and w40kdata-data-sharedtextures-full.sga as far as i know. Something is might be changing your filenames and that could be causing problems. This isn't first time i have seen incorrect filenames with this game.

No no the File names are correct I just spelt them wrong (there is no 1 in the texture file) I'm actually going to my friends hosue and im getting the texture file from him along with the sound med file and if that dont work well than I'll play with my plain polygons.
