Mission 4: No Boss!

Well, single player is the main reason why I buy these games, believe it or not, and I've given up on a fix for the lag, so I've been putting up with it this week to plow through the story missions.

Mission 4, as many of you know, is where it gets REALLY bad, but I endured through the entire mission, only to get to the end and find...no boss! That's right, I decimated the ork base and...nothing. So, now the mission can't be finished.

At this point, I'm giving up on the single player, I think, for a good long time. If there IS ever a fix for the lagged scrolling (ahem), I might give it another shot. On my way out, though, I wanted to bring this incredibly frustrating bug to your attention.

One note that might help: I did not bother to complete the secondary objective on this map (build a second stronghold); seemed pointless to me. Maybe that's what screwed it up. I did try doing this after I wiped the ork base, but to no avail.

Great game, ruined by technical faults.

edit: Oh, and I was running on version 1.10

During the fraw with the Squigoth (sp) the Warboss might come out towards that fith along with many other ork troops. What I mean is that you might of already unknowingly dealt with the boss. If you believe you have wiped out all forces and building, try heading to the top right side of the border of the map and check a couple of buildings you might of missed. Same goes for a couple of sections South of the main ork base. I also recommend you check the thread about that particular mission in the campaing stratety section of these boards.

Okay, thanks for the reply. I figured there would be a scene or something that played introducing the boss. I'll check out the thread and do another lap around the map...already went around a couple times looking for strays.

thats what happened to me, warboss came to fight with squiggoth. if mission isnt ending check for generators
