on the third disk of the installation i get this error "Error 1335: the cabinet file 'Data2.cab' required is corrupt. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD, or a system error". anyone know what this is and how i can fix it?

All right I had this same problem and I found a solution somewhere around here

Once the installer gets to that error message, open up Windows Explorer and find THQ, copy it to a different location. Then go back to the installer and write down the name of the file that the installer was on (ex: W40k.exe) and it's location (ex: Engine/Locale). Now exit installer go into the CD and open the "Corrupt" .cab file and look for that file, copy and paste it into the appropriate folder. Then boot up installer again and install into your copied version of the THQ folder.

There may be different files that are corrupt, just be patient and repeat the process for each of the files.

Enjoy.

fixed it. it was a problem with the cd-rom reader, probly it wasn't fast enough or had something wrong with it. when i attached my other cd rom it worked fine. i could not copy and paste/patch with the problem because even the computer could not even copy the file without the same error. i guess the cd-rom could not handle this particular piece of information correctly. thanks for you help though.

Hi

Some CD-ROM's have this problem. The solution is to disable DMA (select PIO mode) for that drive whilst you install the software.Don't forget to re-enable DMA once the software is installed.
